By using Morie, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account Information
When you create or access an account, we may collect:
- Email address, password credentials, and authentication identifiers.
- Information from supported sign-in providers, such as Apple or Google, when you choose those methods.
- Account status, subscription entitlement, and purchase-related identifiers.
Profile and Goal Information
To personalize your calorie and nutrition targets, we may collect:
- Gender, birth year or age, height, current weight, target weight, and activity level.
- Goal type, weekly rate, estimated timeline, daily calorie target, and macro targets.
- Preferences such as weight unit, language, theme, calorie progress style, and notification settings.
Food, Meal, and Weight Logs
When you use tracking features, we may collect:
- Meal titles, food items, quantities, calories, macronutrients, sugar, fiber, sodium, and selected log dates.
- Saved meals and saved meal items that you create for reuse.
- Weight log entries and dates.
- Meal photos or images when you choose to scan or upload them for analysis.
Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information
We may collect information about how the Service is used, including:
- Feature interactions, onboarding progress, food log actions, scan actions, settings changes, and subscription events.
- Device type, operating system, app version, crash or diagnostic information, and network status.
- Approximate technical data needed to keep the Service secure and functioning.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide account access, authentication, and user-bound data sync.
- Create calorie, macro, weight, and activity insights based on your profile and logs.
- Analyze text or image food inputs and return nutrition estimates.
- Save, edit, sync, and display food logs, saved meals, weight logs, streaks, statistics, and home widget summaries.
- Send meal log reminders or other local notifications when you enable them.
- Process purchases, manage subscriptions, and restore entitlements.
- Measure app performance, understand feature usage, improve reliability, and develop new features.
- Protect the Service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
4. AI-Powered Food Analysis
Morie includes AI-assisted features that can estimate food names, portion descriptions, calories, macros, and nutrition details from text or images you provide. To operate these features, your food text, selected goal context, language preference, assistant tone preference, and optional meal image may be processed by our backend and AI service providers.
You should review AI-generated nutrition details before saving them. You remain responsible for deciding whether an entry is accurate enough for your use.
6. Apple Health and Activity Data
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Morie may request read access to steps, active energy burned, and workout data. We use this information to show activity context in statistics and progress views.
Apple Health access is optional and controlled by your device settings. You can revoke access at any time through iOS settings. Morie does not use Apple Health data for advertising.
7. Storage, Security, and Retention
Morie stores certain information locally on your device so the app can load quickly and keep user preferences available. We also sync account, profile, food log, saved meal, subscription, and weight log data to our backend where needed to provide the Service.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no internet or mobile app service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain backups. When an account or data is deleted, residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups or logs unless earlier deletion is required by law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, export, or delete certain personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Disable notifications, Apple Health access, camera/photo permissions, analytics permissions where available, or other device-level permissions.
- Cancel subscriptions through the relevant app store or subscription settings.
You may also clear local cache from the app settings. Clearing local cache does not necessarily delete synced account data from our backend.
9. Children's Privacy
Morie is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from local laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the date above, posting the revised policy, or providing in-app or email notice where appropriate.
